Marriage
The Lembas practice endogamy (marrying within one’s race) but not into the same clan.
A lad normally marries his second cousin (mother’s brother’s daughter) of the third degree. A lemba male may marry a non Lemba female of neighbouring tribes sharing some common cultures with the Lembas, or Kalangas, Venda, Sothos but not Ngunis or Tsongas for religious reasons.
The first wife in the family has to be a Mulemba who will initiate a non-Lemba wife married into the family, but it is taboo for a Lemba female to be maried to a non Lemba male. When a non-Lemba male has married a non Lemba female, an initiation ceremony has to be conducted to make her
vomit swine meat or meat of dead animals. She then becomes a Mulemba who does’nt eat swine meat (pork, bacon, ham).
This is a way of converting non-Lembas into Lembas.
We are the only nation in the world who convert people to adopt our culture.
